Meant to help IT pros and system admins with automating administrative tasks, Automise is one of the products offered by VSoft Technologies, an independent software vendor based (ISV) in Canberra and founded back in 1997. Anyone who gets the Automise tool will be able to use its graphical interface to automate repetitive tasks and thus boost productivity. Some 400 pre-written scripts will help you come up with a variety of projects that you can schedule to take place automatically.

The Automise installation file is 40.2Mb in size. To install the application on a Windows-powered PC, just run the file once the download completes; click through a setup wizard and only moments later you will have Automise up and running.

In the upper left hand side on Automise’s interface you will see the traditional File Menu and icons associated with various functions the application can perform. Underneath there’s a Project pane, a Shortcuts pane (presents links to starting a new project, opening a project, viewing recent and sample projects, and accessing the Options menu), and a pane that displays your recent project or the example projects built into the application.

Load some of the sample projects the application provides to get a better idea of what you can do with the Automise tool. The basic concept is simple: use the built-in scripts the application has to offer (it comes with some 400 scripts, so there are quite a few to choose from) to come up with projects that automate repetitive tasks. You can use the application to automate file and folder operations, mouse click and keystrokes, Active Directory administration, DVD burning, database management, and more.

You have 30 days to use Automise for free and evaluate the functionality this automation tool has to offer.

Automate a variety of tasks by using the built-in scripts and the powerful functionality Automise has to offer.

Pros

The application comes with a few example projects and with several hundred built-in scripts. Use these scripts to create projects and automate a variety of tasks. Use the scheduler to automatically run the projects you come up with. The application’s interface blends usability and functionality.

Cons

Free to use for a 30-day trial period.
